SANCCOBThe Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds (SANCCOB) received past support from the Conservation & Research Foundation to help in their efforts to save African penguins and other seabirds. This non-profit seabird rehabilitation center based in Cape Town, South Africa has treated over 85,000 seabirds since established in 1968.  They achieve their mission by (1) Rehabilitating oiled, injured, ill and artificially rearing orphaned seabirds on a daily basis; (2) Preparing for and managing the rehabilitation of seabirds during major oil spills; (3) Raising awareness about conservation through environmental education; and (4) Collaborating on various research projects.  Find out how you can further support their work by adopting a penguin, becoming a member, or supporting their rescue campaign at their web site.
