Happy 2nd anniversary to Nueva Salud! The Conservation and Research Foundation provided seed money to Nueva Salud in 2007 which helped to construct 250 ventilation-improved latrines in the village of San Antonio de la Nueva Esperanza, a Maya village in a remote part of Guatemala.  Nueva Salud is a non-profit organization with the mission to creat comprehensive and sustainable village-level health care and disease prevention in remote, isolated villages of Central America.  The intention is to develop in San Antonio a model program that will then be adapted for neighboring villages, and for others throughout Central and South America.
